I have missed the Consequences bunch and I was so excited to hang out with them again. This is Max’s story and what a story it is! Filled with hilarious situations, emotional growth, and just enough heat, The Consequences of Revenge will keep you entertained and excited for more.
Max’s friend are tired of his lack of focus, and honestly, I felt like they were worried about him & his emotional state. So, they do what any good friend would do; sign him up for a “The Bachelor” style reality show behind his back! After some amazingly funny scenes, Max decides to make the most of his predicament. Good thing, because hello Becca!
Becca starts out on the show for one thing: money. but after spending time with Max, her goals become, well, let’s say fuzzy. Becca really sees Max for who he is and dun-dun-duuuuunnn! Falls for him 🙂 YAY! But Becca isn’t stupid, she still questions their budding relationship.
“Did that mean he wanted more time once the show ended? I decided not to approach the subject. Instead I leaned further into Max’s embrace and calmed my rapidly beating heart. I had him for now. We were and us… and I loved the sound of that.”
The witty internal dialogue Max has is even more entertaining than his interactions with his friends and the shows contestants.
“Oh, so we’re choosing porn names? Was that how reality TV worked? If so, I would totally call myself Maximus Hightower. Dibs. For real. I could see my tagline now. “Afraid of heights? My not climb my tower?”
With all of the humor Rachel provides, you may think that the romance is glossed over. Don’t worry! TCOR is actually a very beautiful and emotional love story between two characters you cannot help but love and root for. While the humor can become a bit slap-stick and goofy, the underlying story, Max & Becca’s relationship, is absolutely amazing. 4.5 Stars 🙂
