Distraction: The great intensity, novelty, or attractiveness of something other than the object of attention.

Sven is a man who takes pride in his ability to separate himself from his emotions. He’s a man who knows who he is and where he’s going in life, a man who needs no one, because needing someone, anyone, is a weakness.

His past taught him love isn’t enough.

Maggie wants the happily ever after, but has never picked the right men, or stuck around long enough, to build a forever. It’s always been easier to get out early, before emotions make things messy.

When Maggie wakes up naked in Sven’s bed, with no memory of the night before, these two must be honest about their feelings and face their fears, so they can build a future together.

Will love be enough for them to get their happy ending together, or will a threat from outside strike them down before they ever have a chance?

Do you have a fan? Because I need one. Sven … WHOOO! That is one fine specimen of alpha!

Distraction is my favorite of the Underground Kings series, and lemme tell you why. Sven and Maggie. I know, I know, you’re thinking “That doesn’t tell me anything!” But IT DOES! Because these two characters are like a peanut putter parfait … layers and layers of yummy goodness, each one different and distinct from the others, yet they blend so damn well. (I would have said onion for the layer thing, but seriously, who they hell wants to be compared to a smelly vegetable that makes you cry. Seriously?)

Maggie is a spit-fire goddess that can bring a man to his knees while leaving catty, judgmental witches in the dust. So what if she’s not some skinny-mini? She puts the VOOM in VA-VA-VA-VOOM!  She’s also devoted, smart, and loving. Oh, and she sticks to her guns – you gotta LOVE that! Sven puts her is a horrible position and she doesn’t cave, she puts him in his place.

“That’s not love, Sven. You asking that of me is not love.”

But you know what? I still love Sven. I do. Because, while he may have said some less than fab things, it was out of fear and devotion. Sign me up! I want a hot-as-hell, rich, alpha-male devoted to ME! He’s dealt with a lot in his life, and he doesn’t want to be dragged down the same (or even close to similar) path ever again. I don’t blame him, either.

Their story is exciting, romantic, and fun to read. I’ll admit I felt the last bit was a smidge drawn out and slightly dull, the rest of the story and the end totally makes up for it. Plus, PLUS, we get all four (Kenton, Justin, Kai, and Sven) in one book! SWOON ❤
