It started out like any other morning on the train.

Until I became mesmerized by the guy sitting across the aisle.

He was barking at someone on his phone like he ruled the world.

Who did the stuck-up suit think he was…God?

Actually, he looked like a God. That was about it.

When his stop came, he got up suddenly and left. So suddenly, he dropped his phone on the way out.

I might have picked it up.

I might have gone through all of his photos and called some of the numbers.

I might have held onto the mystery man’s phone for days—until I finally conjured up the courage to return it.

When I traipsed my ass across town to his fancy company, he refused to see me.

So, I left the phone on the empty desk outside the arrogant jerk’s office.

I might have also left behind a dirty picture on it first though.

I didn’t expect him to text back.

I didn’t expect our exchanges to be hot as hell.

I didn’t expect to fall for him—all before we even met.

The two of us couldn’t have been any more different.

Yet, you know what they say about opposites.

When we finally came face to face, we found out opposites sometimes do more than attract—we consumed each other.

Nothing could have prepared me for the ride he took me on. And I certainly wasn’t prepared for where I’d wind up when the ride was over.

All good things must come to an end, right?

Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.

Stuck-Up suit is another home-run from from the Dynamic Duo, Vi & Penelope. Filled with fun, witty, sexual-tension filled banter, a lovely romance, and enough twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat, this book is a must read for RomCom lovers. Hell, for romance lovers in general.

Soraya and Graham have out-of-this-world chemestry and the wherewithal to endure each other’s issues. Both characters have painful pasts that have forged them into the people they are today. Gotta love that, right? I know that my own life has certainly set me up to be where and who I am now, so to see that written (and written well) is what makes it so easy to relate to them. Vi & Pen really used all of the available resources for communication and it really rounded out the characters and their relationship.

Soraya is fantabulous. Smart-mouthed, intelligent (but not an annoying smartypants), gorgeous, and a little nervous, this character is well rounded and someone you want to make your BFF. Plus, she hangs out in a tattoo parlor, so I’m totally down for that friendship. Her hesitation to make something happen with Graham is endearing and yet I cheered for her when she chose to take that blind step of faith.

Graham is a T-total jerk…just not to Soraya. Well, maybe a smidge, but only for a short time, so I could deal. It is a little unnerving how easy it is to treat people like gum on the bottom of his shoe, and while there is a backstory to explain it, that nugget of his character made it a little tough for me to loooooove him. Remember ladies: A good man is not only nice to you on a date, but the staff as well. Being a dick only works in fiction.

The growth of their relationship was heartwarming, though. I mean, so so sweet. And funny. And sexy. That, I adored.

We do get some less than lovely people (because you gotta) and WHOA were they bitches. I hate people that think/act/live like these women and Vi & Pen got it exactly right. They killed me and I wanted to beat the ever-loving stuffing outta them.

Down & Dirty: Stuck-Up Suit is funny, emotional, and a definite recommendation from me.
