Oh. My.

I’m really digging this Bliss-Rothert combination. Seriously digging it. I really love how they keep the suspense active, but the emphasis is on the romance. And ooooooooo it’s so romantic. Walls are torn down. Butts are spanked. Kisses are smoldering hot. And the tinge of jealousy is MWAH.

I appreciate how kickbutt Kennedy is written. This is no shrinking violet, out to prove something. She’s a freaking weapon of her own making. A. Weapon. The shift from walled-off hothead to melted-into-a-puddle bada$$ (yup, they made that combo happen) was great. “Watching” her and Nix come together kept me turning pages When is it going to hit the fan? When will this blow up in their faces? I didn’t want it to happen, but at the same time I knew it would be exciting.

So yeah, I hated it when the fan was hit, but only because I loved these characters so much. I think it can be fabulous to hate things in a book. You *should* hate the breaking point of a character or couple because you are emotionally invested in them. I was. I did. I loved the ending.
